John Glenn Columbus International Airport New Terminal

Columbus, OH

After months of careful preconstruction planning with the project team as the design assist partner, Banker Steel was recently awarded the fabrication and erection packages for the construction of the John Glenn Columbus International Airport New Terminal, located in Columbus, Ohio. We will fabricate and install 20,000 tons of steel for the 1,000,000 square foot terminal which will replace the existing terminal and increase the airport’s capacity to service more than 13 million passengers annually. The terminal’s unique Y-shaped form mimics the convergence of the nearby Olentangy and Scioto Rivers and symbolizes the journeys of travelers and the terminal’s role as a connector in the region.
